Sorting Portal Near the entrance, there is a small, circular mat on the floor. Upon closer inspection, one might discover that it is made entirely of chrome, and is perfectly smooth. Just a few inches thick, it's hard to come across at first, but students must find it and step on it. Instantly, the person will be transported to a secret room, one where the exact location is known only by the Headmistress. The room is totally dark. Again, only the Headmistress is quite sure how it works, but it's rumored among the students that one of the ghosts of the Eterna culture of old reside in there, ready to place students in the house that would suit each individual best. The color that blinds the student being sorted, flashes against his or her eyes, is the house color. Ten seconds later, the student will be transported back to the entrance of the school.

Applications A relatively ordinary-looking room sits just right of the sorting portal; it is where all professors and staff members will apply for jobs. There are several tables, both long and circular, as well as spare parchment and ink. Fill out the form, submit it to the Headmistress, and you may be well on your way to working at the school that is swiftly gaining power.

Other Applications This room a little more teenager-oriented. The walls are painted in two colors; opposites match. There’s a red-orange and a calm blue, pulled together with hardwood floor. A few small, round tables and chairs line the area, and there are small shelves of books around the room. Of course, there are a few beanbag chairs, too, for those who prefer them.
