[July 30, midnightish]

Ding Dong! The Witch is dead.
Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.

Hooray, hooray? Well, Daniel couldn't quite make up his mind on this on particular subject. It meant one less person in Anima Eterna who knew he was a vampire, though he feared that after his rampage that night there might be more than one student who'd NOTICED just what he'd done with the blood of the Death Eaters. But so far the only people that had known, really known he preferred hot blood over cocoa had been Rosanna and that despicable Rune Gunner. Okay, so he'd totally revealed himself to that Blake Lorent. But he had his own sweet morsel of information to exchange for secrecy. So it was all fair--in this kind of love or that kind of war. Friendship was ever, titillatingly ambiguous!

But--there was reason to hope. No angry crowd of torch-bearing vampire hunters had come to assail the peace of his dormitory, to incinerate him while he slept through the daytime, or drive a spike through his shriveled old heart. Of course, he could simply say that the people of this school were entirely forgiving and permissive. Yet again, why kill off the vampire who seemed to be so eager to slay Death Eaters? It just wasn't good business, really.

So what if he was impersonating his former self that had not been actually seen in civil society for decades? So what if he probably fed on the blood of innocents somewhere off the grounds and surrounding towns/cities/villages? He kept the school safe. It was like keeping the cat who shat on your best furniture or carpet. Easily overlooked.

But now the witch Rosanna Bianchessi was dead. And it wouldn't be a long time before knowledge of this spread to all those who had been concerned with the creation of the little nightclub she had sought to establish, quite against the rules of the school. And if those people were to succumb in deep sorrow for the dead girl--which somehow struck Daniel as somewhat unlikely--the club would go belly up before it even had its premier night!

And since his band--yes, his and his alone, he thought in his perverted mind--was to be the main fare of the establishment, they would be out of a gig! Simply unspeakable. He couldn't let that happen now or ever. Even if he had to bring back the corpse of Rosanna he would have this club running like a fine-tuned muggle engine--whatever the fuck that meant.

So, for the last couple nights, as soon as it was considerably dark outside, he had traveled to and fro around the three common rooms of the magical school. Which was to say, something not easy at all. Since people generally turned in the for the night and such and such. Goddamn mortals and their love affair with the daytime. Sleeping at night--wasting away precious moonlight. And making it harder for him to sneak into their bedrooms and lay a tiny little enchanted coin under their pillows.

Oh, clever boy. Daniel smiled to himself with pure egotistical glee. He'd enchanted the coin to act as a tiny radio-wave receiver. And then made it invisible, to boot. The sender would come with him and just when his band was ready to play, in the Abandoned Potions Classroom, it would broadcast a brief song they'd been working on. And those who it was meant for would hear it--and perhaps their room mates--and then his following message to assemble.

Damn. With brains like this, why the hell wasn't he leading riots and revolutions off in third world muggle countries?

Hell, perhaps it was a definite HOORAY! now that the witch was dead.

(( OOC: Eh, okay, well: We all hopefully know that Rosanna's dead. But maybe not our charries that were involved with her and the creation of her nightclub. Before the attack she laid a very cool spell on the doors to make them open only with the right password, which is: HONEYSUCKLE. This she told everyone involved thus far (just go along with it... no official thread...). So now it is time for us all to gather and attempt to save the nightclub in Rosanna's memory. Your character might not care so much for her, but the coolness of teh might must continue! Say I. ))

It had already been about a week since the Animagus had met Mister Roston outside during one of his nighttime excursions, but the shock of what he had learned about his band met still hadn’t quite passed. He’d definitely taken the ‘your friend is a blood-sucking vampire’ better than the average person would have – and definitely better than he figured Michi would have taken it, an opinion which he based on how she’d reacted in the past upon receiving similar information – however now that he thought back on it, he kind of wondered why he hadn’t freaked out like a normal person would have. Was it because with the kind of people he already had as friends, a vampire seemed to fit right in, or was it because he’d been having so many conversations like this recently that he’d just gotten used to it?

If Daniel was attacked by angry vampire hunters, they would definitely not have been sent by Blake. He’d always been incredibly good at keeping his friends’ secrets, which was why people such as Hart Kinsey had taken to confiding in him. Perhaps sometimes this wasn’t a good thing, seeing as had he told Michi the truth about Hart immediately she may never have been hurt so badly by that best friend of his. But even if he occasionally doubted whether or not keeping quiet was the best choice, he still wasn’t going to backstab his friends and go telling the entire world – especially since most of them had something on him too.

Blake had known of the death of Miss Bianchessi long before he’d even realized what it might mean for the band; during their little chat, he and Daniel had briefly discussed the topic – the Estremo still felt a bit weird about the fact that neither of them had seemed too fazed over the death of the girl, other than the fact that it might effect the only real gig they had so far. Obviously, one couldn’t really expect the Lorent to be too saddened by the loss of someone he’d never met; nevertheless, it worried him to think that he was probably less bothered by Rosanne’s death than that of the Death Eater that he’d killed with the Unforgivable.

For the first few days, the sixteen-year-old couldn’t get over the fact that he’d Avada’d another human being. What had made the situation even worse was that Hart, who he knew was a Death Eater and hadn’t seen at the school on the night of the attack, hadn’t returned immediately after. The thought that he might have killed his best friend – even if he was a Death Eater – was a horrible thing to live with. Fortunately, the other Estremo had eventually arrived at the school. Although he spent some time taking out his worry and anger on his friend, Hart was able to help the Lorent to finally come to accept the actions he’d taken during the battle.

The youth smiled at the familiar sound of the creaking stairs that lead into the lowest level of the school. He hadn’t been down in the dungeons for a while, a surprising fact seeing as, unlike most students of Anima Eterna, he was actually rather fond of them. Rachel and Michi had called it morbid curiosity, but Blake argued that it was simply because he had some good memories in this place. He’d been down in the Chambers of Old the first time he successfully turned himself into a wolf – took forever to get back into his full human form, but that was besides the point. Also, he’d met Ray for the very first time in the room he was headed to now.

The tall Canadian finally reached the door, pausing for a moment to remember the password. “Honeysuckle,” he stated, walking through the door as it opened. Before he even spotted the other male in the room, dark blue eyes were admiring just how different the place looked. Last time he’d been in here it had been your average Potions classroom, but now it looked just as one would expect a nightclub to look – aside from the fact that currently there were only two people there.

“Hello Daniel,” he greeted as he spotted the dark figure of the vampire in the room. He found a rather comfortable looking chair and sat down, his eyes still glancing at the interesting aspects of the former location of his favourite class. Blake noticed the bar and briefly wondered if there were already drinks there, but quickly decided that that could wait for another time. “So who else is coming?”

Daniel looked over to the door when it begun to open, having made a barely perceptible sound of bells as the password was accepted and it let in Blake Lorent. Neat. That Rosanna had really thought of everything. She might have been slightly challenged when dealing with muggle sound systems, but her security and secrecy spells were damn good. Perhaps the girl was just good at charms? Or, had been. Hurray for immortality! Yeap.

His guitarist asked a question as Daniel was nearly lost in his own head while making damn sure the sound system was working properly. And at the same time wondering, in a small corner of his mind devoted for such dissatisfying thoughts, if Juhan Martens would come when summoned. He had not meant to leave that enchanted coin there, but... Yeah, remorse and all that. What a bitch.

"Huh?" Was his first reaction to Blake's question, quite candid. Having shared their secrets that evening past, Daniel wasn't so concerned about letting his true self act up around the Estremo. Which was odd, you know. But a thing for consideration at other, less busy times. The time was almost nigh!

"Oh! Well, I hope the rest of the band will," His reply was as tart as he could muster it. After all, wasn't it obvious they would all be needed to pull off this revival? But he let it pass quickly. The Lorent did not deserve any attitude. "And a few other peeps. Those who Rosanna involved in putting this thing together," he waved lazily over the rather impressive night club--which even he had to admit.

Contrary to Blake, who had not known Rosanna, Daniel felt a bit... guilty. Yes, that was the word. A word he rarely used since he considered himself mostly blameless in all situations. But this time, he couldn't shake the feeling. Like something in the corner of his mind was trying to tell him something--the nagging corner that never quite shut up, but which Daniel had become a master at ignoring. But he had no time now for introspection.

"Um, remember that song we've been practicing?" He waited to see some sort of recognition register in the taller guys' face. "Well, that's what we're gonna play tonight," he plowed on, too jumpy to stop for acknowledgments and consent. Though an obligatory, "If that's alright with you," was uttered in something more than a mumble.

"How have you been?" He said in a detached tone, but actually meaning to hear from the younger boy. He did care, right? Right. He did! He was just really busy trying to figure out if he should allow for sound delays while the magical coin in his pocket broad-casted, or if his rather slow heartbeat would be broad-casted as well. Or... a million other things.

Merlin's bush, he hoped people came. He needed this gig! Sorely.
