Anyone up for a game? [Open] « Thread Started on Jun 19, 2007, 2:30am »
[June 21st, around 3pm] The echoes of his footsteps echoed through the empty court as he walked slowly toward what seemed to be a closet on the far side of the court. The place was extremely empty, and no sounds could be heard, which hit the Leale as strange. It was a Saturday, exams were over already and they were just waiting for their results... so why wasn't there nobody at the court?
Shaking his head sadly, the Californian arrived to the aforementioned closet, opening it with a quick wave of his wand. Inside, a number of basketballs stood on shelfs. Most, if not all of them, were filled with dust, probably due to the lack of use.
Grabbing one and bouncing it once to see whether it had enough air or not, Nathaniel Baxter took off and started running around the basketball court. It was never good to start playing when you hadn't warmed up. It could be potentially harmful.
After a while, the teenager proceeded to shot at the net from different angles and trying different ways of shooting. With one hand, from the middle of the court, facing backward (which, by the way, was extremely hard), jumping and so on.
Still, playing basketball with yourself is always boring, and so the American, drenched in sweat that made his curls plaster to his head, sat down on the benches and proceeded to take a much needed drink.
After hydrating himself properly, Nate decided there wasn't much else to do except wait for a while to see whether anyone would arrive to the Competitivo Court to play some basketball. He sure hoped so. Else, his day would have been completely wasted.

She’d sat there in complete silence, enjoying the peace and quietness around here. Nobody to disturb her while she was reading the book and no school or exam stress. People expected their results in a couple of days or weeks – depending on how much time teachers needed to grade everything – and were getting quite bored nowadays. Sadly, boredom resulted in people acting weird and annoying at the most hateful times.
Sure, she tended to act just like them, but at least she knew when to keep quiet when she was in the need of solitary sitting somewhere, reading a book, whereas others had no idea. But then again, how on earth could they know when she was up for some quiet time? Hmm, bummer.
The girl was laying on her tummy, propping herself up with her arms and having a book in between both elbows. It really was quite interesting, though she’d gotten to quite a boring chapter not much later. That’s where the book lost her attention and where her surroundings caught her attention.
Not too far away from her she could see a couple of younger students playing a game of Frisbee. Then at the other side, there was a guy playing some kind of game with a big, orange ball. It obviously caught her attention, as the girl didn’t look around any further.
The game actually was rather fun to watch. The curly-haired boy wasn’t playing against anybody, so he was trying various tricks to try and score. Dunking, turn and evasion tricks, single-hand throwing – you name it. It was like he was showing off to someone invisible, trying to intimidate them and such. It really was a fun sight. That, plus the boy wasn’t exactly painful to the eyes.
He stopped playing after a while, however, and Spencer almost felt disappointed about it. Turning back to read her book proved to be pointless, as she was really out of it right now. She’d been thinking about something else for too long and now didn’t have the attention span nor the concentration to focus on the book anymore – no way.
Spencer pushed herself up and pulled down her yellow summer dress, adjusting the straps so they’d cover those of her bikini top. One of her hands was run through her hair after, before she tied it together with an elastic band. Then, she was all set to go and take a peek.
The girl couldn’t resist – she walked up to him from behind, took a hold of the bottle of water and poured some of it over his head. Then, she sat down at the bench, as if nothing had happened just now.
“Hello, you.” An innocent smile was added to the greeting, as she was well aware of what she’d just done. “Having fun, playing on your own?”

Well, being suddenly drenched by cold water wasn't something Nathaniel liked. The Californian gasped out of shock as the cold liquid drenched his clothes.
"Hey, what's the big idea?" he asked, turning around to face the blonde girl who was smiling 'innocently'. As if he was going to fall for that! This girl was the culprit. Or should be, given that there had been nobody in the basketball court.
"Yes, its rather fun." the Leale replied to her question, rather sarcastically, before fishing his wand out of his pocket and muttering "Ventus fervens!" Instantly, warm air erupted from the tip of his wand and he used it to dry himself.
"I just love that spell..." he muttered to himself as he sat down beside Spencer. "So, did you have any particular reason for dousing me?" He queried, grabbing the almost empty water bottle before she could do anything else with it.
Frankly, he didn't want to get wet again. Not that she seemed about to douse him again, but one could never be too careful, right?
